SMT reel trolleys: mobile logistics for 7″ and 13″ SMD components

Smooth material flow between the main warehouse and production lines is the foundation of logistics in the EMS industry. Professional SMT reel trolleys are specifically designed for efficient transport and temporary storage of SMD component reels in the most common sizes: compact 7-inch and large, deep 13-inch reels. Using dedicated trolleys prevents deformation of plastic reel discs and damage to delicate component tapes.

Multi-level systems (4S): easy sorting and tangle-free tape protection

Order in the production preparation area is what prevents mistakes during changeover. Our trolleys use advanced multi-level systems, such as 4-shelf configurations designated 4S. They feature precisely positioned steel wire dividers that keep reels in a fixed, vertical position. This prevents mixing and tipping, and makes it easy to sort reels by tape width (8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 24mm, etc.).

ESD-coated or stainless steel (STT) trolleys: choose your protective finish

Depending on the specifics and cleanliness requirements of your production facility, reel trolleys are available in two finishes:

1. ESD powder-coated versions: steel frames finished with a durable conductive powder coating, ideal for standard EPA zones.
2. Stainless steel versions (STT): top-tier durability, excellent mechanical resistance to scratching from reel edges, and zero risk of coating chips, dedicated to zones with stricter cleanliness requirements (cleanroom).

Smooth maneuvering and high load capacity of SMT reel trolleys

SMT reel trolleys need to handle significant load when shelves are packed with hundreds of tightly stored components. The frame construction is based on solid bolted profiles, ensuring rigidity of the entire unit. High-grade ESD caster sets (two fixed wheels, two swivel wheels with a total-lock brake) provide light, smooth and quiet handling even at maximum load.
